Technology, history and encounters in their most beautiful form
The Hans-Peter Porsche Traumwerk in Anger, Bavaria, invites visitors from all over the world to experience a fascinating world of technology, design and tradition. Founded by Hans-Peter Porsche, a passionate collector and grandson of legendary engineer Ferdinand Porsche, the Traumwerk combines historical collections, innovative architecture and a wide range of experiences. Since its opening in 2015, the Traumwerk has developed into an international meeting place that attracts around 100,000 visitors of all ages every year.
Covering an area of 55,000 m², Traumwerk offers a wide range of experiences that make every visit a special event:
- Model railway world: The impressive model railway layout covers 400 m² and features fascinating landscapes from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Over 200 trains, detailed scenes and a spectacular light and sound show make this miniature world an unforgettable experience for young and old alike.
- Historical toys: The historical tin toy collection is one of the most important of its kind and comprises more than 2,100 exhibits from the years 1860 to 1930. Detailed steam engines, trains, cars, zeppelins and nostalgic carousels bring childhood dreams of bygone times to life. As one of the largest privately owned collections open to the public in Europe, it delights collectors, enthusiasts and families alike.
- Automobile collection: Iconic vehicles such as the Porsche 550 Spyder and the prototype of the Porsche 356/1 illustrate the milestones in automotive history. These and other classics offer a fascinating insight into the development of the automotive industry and reflect the innovative spirit of one of the world’s most famous brands.
- Restaurant and park: The extensive adventure park with an adventure playground and park railway offers a varied leisure experience for the whole family. While the children enjoy the freedom of the playground and take a nostalgic trip on the park railway, adults can relax in the restaurant with regional and Mediterranean cuisine and enjoy the moment – a perfect combination of relaxation, discovery and enjoyment.
A place for meetings and events
The unique architecture – designed in the shape of a horizontal figure eight, symbolising infinity – combined with the extensive park and excellent gastronomy creates the perfect backdrop for inspiring events such as corporate events, Christmas parties or private celebrations. Regular special exhibitions and events enrich the programme and invite visitors to return again and again.
The vision for the future
Since 2023, managing director Sven Bössow has been leading Traumwerk into the next phase of its development. Under his leadership, Traumwerk’s international reputation is being expanded with the vision of creating a “home of clubs” – a lively meeting place for people who share their enthusiasm for technology, history and design.
“Our mission is to keep the fascination with technology and history alive by building a bridge between the past, present and future,” says Bössow. “Traumwerk is a place that inspires people and brings them together. We want to continue Hans-Peter Porsche’s work by preserving his passion and enriching it with new ideas in order to continuously develop this special place.”
