Fix and Foxi

Special Exhibition: “Two foxes brought to life! Fix & Foxi and Other Comic Heroes”

The Hans-Peter Porsche Traumwerk invites you on a very special journey into the colorful world of comics: The new special exhibition “2 Foxes Come to Life! Fix & Foxi and Other Heroes” brings Germany’s most famous comic characters, from the pen of Rolf Kauka, to life.

On display until 17 June 2026, this exhibition gives visitors the chance to experience the adventures of the cheeky foxes Fix & Foxi and their friends up close. This exhibition will not only thrill fans of classic comics, it will take the whole family on an interactive journey.

Comic display featuring a cartoon animal, speech bubbles with the words ‘VROOM!’ and ‘SPLASH!’, and feathers attached to signs. A yellow horn lies on the surface, and a colourful cartoon design can be seen in the background.

Travel to the world of Fix & Foxi

This special exhibition has more in store than simply classic exhibits: it invites visitors of all ages to discover the world of Fix & Foxi and other iconic comic characters such as Lupo and Professor Knox, as well as guest stars such as Lucky Luke and the Smurfs, in a completely new way. For the first time, original drawings, documents and comic strips are presented in a dynamic, interactive format that truly draws visitors into the stories.

Imaginative and interactive

Innovative installations make this exhibition truly special: projections on the walls and floors bring the adventures of our comic heroes to life, and 21 themed display cases offer fascinating insights into the culture of comics. The exhibition also reflects the themes of mobility and invention, which are closely interwoven with our heroes’ adventures, to not only make the world of comics tangible but also shed light on their cultural and historical significance.

Professor Knox and his invention workshop

A special treat for visitors young and old is Professor Knox’s workshop. Visitors can take a look at the secret laboratory of the brilliant Professor Knox to see what inventions he is currently working on. Perhaps an aircraft? Or a sock knitting machine? The inventor’s workshop is a wonderful world full of imagination, creativity, innovation and lots of fun.

Now it’s your turn: roll up your sleeves and get creative!

Another highlight of this exhibition is the large stand that transforms into a creative work of art. Here, visitors become the artist: using uncoloured Fix & Foxi drawings and empty speech bubbles, you can colour in the scenes and create your own story. The result is a living, ever-changing work of art that lets every visitor become a piece of the exhibition.
